Kristin first blended her love of mountain ski country and sales in middle school while selling coupon books to raise money to go on a ski trip-to Breckenridge and Keystone, Colorado, and she has skied in Summit County every year since 1990. In fact, Kristin recently celebrated a full 16+ years of living in Colorado.
It was in 2007 that Kristin left her home state of Texas and moved to Colorado for the outdoor lifestyle of the mountains and for real estate investment opportunities, and it did not take long for her to marry both her enthusiasm for investing and passion for helping other people into a five-star real estate experience as a Realtor®. Who knew that selling coupon books for a school ski trip to Colorado would lead her to the very place she now calls home.
Even after more than a decade of living in high country Colorado, Kristin considers it a blessing to be able wake up each morning in one of the most beautiful places in the United States and help others build their dream life in the mountains. She understands most, if not all, of the ins and outs of creating a home in the mountains, and graciously shares everything she knows with her clients.
Kristin considers herself a lifelong learner, and takes a great deal of joy in both teaching and learning. As a graduate from The University of Texas at Austin, Kristin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English, with minors in Spanish and Business. After college, she worked as a bilingual elementary school teacher after college in Houston, where she was born and raised.
Kristin still loves to teach, and satisfies that love by volunteering for an organization that teaches children to read in the Dominican Republic, teaching English to adult learners, and instructing professional classes for Realtors®. She believes that through both taking and teaching classes, Kristin can continue to provide excellence to both buyers and sellers.
When not working, most days Kristin can be found exploring one of the many hiking or cross country ski trails with her dogs.

Talisha Spoelman’s connection to Colorado runs deep. Born and raised in the state, she has spent her entire life surrounded by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, a view she never tires of and one of the many reasons she’s made this place her lifelong home. The four distinct seasons of Colorado hold a special place in her heart, with the vibrant colors and crisp air of fall being her absolute favorite.
Talisha’s journey has been enriched by her loving family. She and her wife Cory are celebrating eight wonderful years of marriage, a partnership filled with love and adventure. Together, they’ve raised two incredible children, Sam and Lanie, and their family joy has only grown with the arrival of their granddaughter, Hazel, who is soon to celebrate her second birthday.
In her personal time, Talisha is often found embracing the great outdoors, whether it's taking a peaceful walk with one of her three beloved dogs—Penny, Reggie, or Teddy Bear—or heading out on a hike to explore the majestic Colorado mountains. Her commitment to well-being extends to regular yoga classes at her neighborhood studio, where she finds balance and rejuvenation.
Professionally, Talisha brings a wealth of experience in financial operations and management, a career that spans over 24 years. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to the Mountain Dream Team as the Executive Director, where she looks forward to helping others achieve their own mountain dreams. Talisha considers it a privilege to work in such a breathtaking part of the world and is excited to embark on this new chapter with the team and their clients.

Leanne has been working in the real estate industry since 1984. She has been a trainer for 3 National home builders, including opening locations, training the onsite sales team, training personality testing, all aspects of brokerage management, residential sales, HUD training. Leanne has consulted with brokerages in several states to set up and implement a distressed sales department. Including the day to training for both new and experienced agents and brokers.
She believes in living and acting by the golden rule. And is committed to helping and teaching people to build and have a successful career.
Over her 40 plus years of experience, she knows all the ups and downs of the markets and can share real life experiences to help guide her students. The goal for her class is to have them excited to learn more and have a positive experience during the class.
Leanne, originally from Colorado, is a third generation Realtor.

OUR STORY

Hi! I’m Kristin Walter.

I am originally from Houston, Texas, and a graduate of The University of Texas in Austin, and I was an elementary school teacher right out of college. I taught 4th and 5th graders in bilingual Spanish in all subjects. I also taught Random Acts of Kindness® to the entire school, grades K-12. I am also still a teacher of Certificate of English Language Teaching for Adults, helping adults from all over the world learn how to speak English. During my summer months when I was not teaching, I learned how to flip houses and fell in love with real estate investing.

I moved to Colorado in 2007. I was in search of a place that I could enjoy the outdoors year round, and I found it in Denver. Each week I would travel around Colorado hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, and flying.

My first years as a real estate agent, I helped sell for a national real estate firm for the first few years, cutting my teeth as a real estate agent during the great recession. I worked for a team that sold listings for the bank, and in the first year we processed over 200 listings. I realized a few things those first few years:

Real estate is very cyclical and very hyper-local.
There will always be a way to make money in real estate.
Relationships, reputation, knowledge, skills, and aptitude are the foundation to any great business.

So I struck out on my own in 2009 and my brokerage has evolved since then.

In 2020, with the onset of the pandemic, I took my real estate teaching online and hired more help and expanded once again to Southwest and South Central Colorado, now serving Wolf Creek Ski Area, Crestone, Crested Butte, La Veta, Del Norte, South Fork, Pagosa Springs, Durango, and Creede just to name a few.

Along the way, using my experience as an elementary school teacher, and my love of teaching, I have trained and mentored thousands of agents, and helped create other independent brokerages. I have been a trainer for the National Association of Realtors® specialized certifications and designations.

One of my proudest accomplishments was in 2018 when I helped the Summit Realtors® create their special local designation, Summit Area Specialist, which teaches the subtle differences of that market to agents in order to serve the public better.
